For David

“Callie, a young writer, comes to the serene Island of Monhegan Maine, for a summer-long writers workshop to complete her first novella, a story about a student-teacher affair. Things get off to a rocky start when she's accidentally placed in the class led by the brooding David Pierce. Tensions rise as they clash over the themes of her story. Reaching an explosive peak– their tensions take a sharp turn and she finds that the lines begin to blur between her writing and reality, possibly due to influences from David. For David is an exploration of authorship and female desire.”

Roles: Dialogue Editor, Sound Mix

As Dialogue Editor I was in charge of touching up all dialogue over the 80-minute film. Using Pro Tools and iZotope RX, I removed background noise, clicks, pops, and added in room tone for each scene. I additionally used compression, reverb, and EQing to create a sense of space and naturalism within the dialogue.

As Sound Mixer I used Pro Tools to mix together all audio tracks, including dialogue, diegetic sound, and non-diegetic sound. I collaborated with the director and re-recording mixer to create a cohesive final product.
